Wolves boss Nuno welcomes decision to ask rulers to scrap handball rule

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has welcomed the League Managers’ Association’s decision to challenge football’s rule makers to scrap the controversial handball law for next season. The LMA has written to the International Football Associations Board to ask for the non-intentional handball law to be altered for next season, following consultations with Premier League managers. The new rule on handball was introduced with VAR this season, but has left managers, players and supporters exasperated. Wolves cub Connor Ronan heads out on loan again

Wolves youngster Connor Ronan has joined League One side Blackpool on loan until the end of the season. The Ireland Under-21 international recently returned from a 12-month loan at DAC Dunajska Streda in Slovakia, where he made 33 appearances across two half-seasons. Ronan, 21, a Wolves Academy graduate, has played 14 times for the club’s first-team since his debut in December 2016 against Nottingham Forest. The switch to the Seasiders is the midfielder’s third loan move to League One, following spells at Portsmouth and Walsall last season. Scan for Vinagre as Wolves recall Ryan Giles from Shrewsbury

Wolves are sending Ruben Vinagre for a scan on Friday afternoon after recalling Ryan Giles from his loan at Shrewsbury Town. Left wing back Vinagre, 20, suffered a hamstring injury in Wednesday’s 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Manchester United.
