Six of the best Wolves kids win international call-ups

Six Wolves Under-18s have been called up for international duty this week, to reflect the team’s unbeaten start to their Under-18 Premier League North campaign. Christian Marques, Lewis Richards, Callum Thompson, Jack Scott, Connor Carty and Joe Young have all linked up with their national youth team squads. Under-18s captain Marques is the skipper of the Switzerland Under-17 side, despite holding Portuguese citizenship, and will spend 10 days playing four games for country. Wolves cub Ryan Giles is determined to keep his shirt in more ways than one after making his England Under-20s debut on a special night at Shrewsbury Town. The 19-year-old played 66 minutes of the 0-0 draw for Keith Downing’s side against the Netherlands at the Montgomery Waters Meadow, where he has been an ever-present for the League One host team this season as part of his season-long loan there. Mark Kennedy returns to Wolves in coaching role

Former Wolves winger Mark Kennedy has returned to the club in an Academy role as support to the young professionals. The 43-year-old, who in 2003 was part of the club’s first promotion to the Premier League, comes back to Molineux after a stint coaching at Manchester City, another of his old clubs. Kennedy began coaching at Ipswich where he finished his playing career in 2012, and progressed to manage their Under-21s team under former Wolves and current Ireland boss Mick McCarthy, prior to rejoining City.
