Jesus Vallejo has revealed Real Madrid urged him to join Wolves because of the ‘incredible job’ they did last season. Wolves have snapped up versatile Portuguese defender Flavio Cristovao for their Under-23s squad after he impressed on trial. The 22-year-old free agent has agreed to a one-year deal at Molineux after arriving on trial at the start of pre-season. Wolves star Diogo Jota can one day replace Cristiano Ronaldo in the Portugal national team, according to former Molineux striker Mel Eves. Eves, 62, was happy to hand over the record as Wolves’ last scorer in Europe last week to Jota.
