Jota: Wolves can reach the Europa group stages

Diogo Jota has backed Wolves to qualify for the group stages of the Europa League. Wolves will face either Northern Irish outfit Crusaders or Faroe Islanders B36 Torshavn in the second qualifying round of the competition on July 25 and August 1. Should they get through, Nuno Santo Espirito’s squad face another six games to reach the group stages. Crusaders and Torshavn meet next Thursday and the following Thursday for the right to meet Wolves. Wolves soon back in action as Saiss finally set for summer

Wolves’ squad returned from their pre-season training camp at St George’s Park on Friday – following a behind-closed-doors friendly against Huddersfield Town. The majority of Nuno Espirito Santo’s first-team at the FA’s base played some of the 90 minutes, including captain Conor Coady, midfielder Joao Moutinho and forward Diogo Jota. The game against the recently-relegated Terriers concluded a productive week for Wolves, who will now return to Wolverhampton to continue preparations for the Asia Trophy in China.
