Wolves will launch their new Adidas home kit next week – after an apparent leak of the strips on social media.
The club are to make the new gold and black kit available for pre-order on July 4 after photos appeared on Facebook and Twitter showing a new look for the 2019-20 Premier League and Europa League campaign.
Photos of players modelling the new gold strip will go live on the official website wolves.co.uk, social media and the Wolves App at 9am next Thursday. It’s understood the images of the players wearing the kit were taken before the end of last season.
The pictures appear to show a return to more of a traditional ‘Wolves gold’ than the lighter yellow look worn last season. The famous three Adidas stripes appear vertically under the arm to the hip, as opposed from the shoulder to the end of the shirt. The away kit is shown to be black, with a diagonal pinstripe, with the club’s new sponsor, ManBetX, emblazoned across the front in white. The three Adidas stripes appear in gold across the shoulders on the away kit.
ManBetX are investing a record amount in Wolves, believed to be around £10m per season. It’s understood the club exercised a break clause with W88 to end their previous sponsorship deal halfway through a two-year contract. W88 have since teamed up with Villa.
After the annoucement, the kit will be available for pre-order online at shop.wolves.co.uk. The Molineux Megastore will start selling the new home shirts on Tuesday, July 9, from 6pm to 10pm.
Parking on the night will be available for supporters in the Stan Cullis Stand car park and a queuing system will be put in place outside the Megastore.
The Megastore will be closed from 2.30pm on Tuesday July 9 to prepare the store for the event.
